Back at The Week, pitching Merlefest and Americana Music
The Waybacks at the Americana stage, Merlefest 2021 (photo (c) by author) Merlefest is four weeks away, and at The Week I did my best elevator pitch for Americana festivals as one of the best ways people can cure cabin fever without breaking the bank. I used my favorite spot as an example, but there are hundreds of similar festivals around the country from now through October. I look most forward to the Saturday package . If you’re into crowds, the afternoon Hillside Album Hour with the Waybacks and Friends is still cooking. I’m eager to see the Saturday night lineup at the Watson Stage: Colin Hay (Men at Work founder), the Sam Bush Band, and Old Crow Medicine Show. Hope to see you there!
