A break from posting, in part, as we mourn the loss of our 13-year-old kitty Snuffles, who passed away unexpectedly on the 1st as a result of kidney failure. She was the one constant in Lola's life from the time Lola moved from North Carolina to California in 1990, and offered the sort of unconditional love only a "small furry person" can provide. Over the six years Snuffles was in my life, she spent so many evenings watching baseball games on my lap that I think I made her a Braves fan. We'll eventually locate a companion for our other feline family member, 5-year-old Willow. But the house seems empty without her. This photo was taken in February, as I recovered from our auto accident. Snuffles occupied her normal position, between my legs.
